Sealed and Delivered!

Ephesians  1:13 explains that we gain God’s Holy Spirit because “In Him you also trusted, after  you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed , you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.” So a person is saved after hearing and then believing the Gospel Word of Truth of Jesus Christ. However,  the Gospel Message must be shared in order to believe it. Asking Jesus into one’s life and believing in Jesus are two totally different things. Matthew 15:8-9 show us that it is possible to honor God with our lips but have hearts that are far from Him from. In other words, someone can ask Jesus into his or her life while at the same the heart can be far from God. Once you truly believe you will see positive changes in your life especially in the arena of moral issues. In fact old bad habits eventually cease to exist. It becomes all about God instead of self.  Change will be evident to you and others. The solid foundation and seal of our salvation is the indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit. The key words are believe then receive! Please study Matthew 15:8-9; Acts 19:1-6; Romans 12:2; Romans 5:1-21; Galatians 2:20 and Galatians 5:19-26
