We know from Scripture that knowledge is a gift from God. Proverbs 2: 6-8 says “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints.” Brothers and sisters, human knowledge is limited, faulty and often questionable. However God’s knowledge is never faulty, never questionable. God wants to speak knowledge and understanding into our hearts and minds so we mature and become over-comers in the trials of life. Job 32:8 reminds us that “it is the spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty that makes him understand.” You see the knowledge of God keeps us from stumbling into many troubled waters. The knowledge of God helps us to make sound decisions. The knowledge of God helps us to control our emotions, have more compassion and mercy towards others. In fact the knowledge of God equips us to fight the good fight of faith! Brothers and sisters, the reason why many of us are swerving off track is because we have not allowed God to guide us. Some of us have totally pushed God aside and are chasing worldly knowledge and ways with a passion. In order to grow and avoid worldly traps, we must trust God. Well, the Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God. Is it possible to have faith in, trust, or gain knowledge from someone you don’t even know?
