Overall, you can judge yourself by the things you do. Do you get a kick out of looking at people fighting and quarreling? Does it excite you to watch sensual things on television? Do you enjoy reality shows that promote open displays of sexual sins such as adultery and fornication, foul language deception and hard core violence? It’s true; you cannot help but see the darkness, pain, and hurting people around your. However are you involved in the immoral things of this world? What have you done to promote that which is good and pleasing to the Lord? Some of you may be saying, “I don’t know what pleases the Lord”. Well, for starters, what does not please the Lord is outlined in Romans 8:8 which says that those walking in the flesh cannot please God.
Paul even admitted in his letter to the Romans that he had issues with the members of his flesh. Overall, the flesh is our sinful nature prying its way out to be free to commit the sins outlined in Galatians 5:20-21. According to these scriptures…when you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Paul made it clear saying… Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God
