Diligently, Draw Closer

Many Christians are running themselves in the ground and burning out doing the right thing, for the wrong reasons. For instance, it is good to go to church, but many think that going to church is what makes God move in their lives. Christianity is all about relationship with God. It is about how much time you spend with God even when there is no one looking. It is the time spent behind closed doors or in your prayer closet talking to the Lord.

Indeed, we should attend church, but it is not good to get caught up in the churchy thing where as you feel that you can only be close to God when you go to church. In order to be a distance runner, you must be diligent in doing what pleases God. If God is not in first place…there may be idols in your life.

If you rise each day with God on your mind, having a desire to read the Bible and pray then most likely God is in first place. This desire pretty much lingers throughout the day, as you grow closer to Him He draws closer to you.

Hebrews 13:15 States

Lets continue to praise Him for His works and not take credit for what He’s already done.
